    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Leader

    Honored by:
    Mr. Pat Epps

Ann Hailey was born in Royston, Georgia and spent her childhood in Florida before moving to Athens, Georgia during her high school years. There she met Pat Epps who would later become her high school sweetheart and husband. Pat was from a flying family. His brother, Doug, gave Ann her first airplane ride in a Piper Cub.
Ann married Pat Epps in 1956. The couple moved to Seattle when Pat received a job with Boeing as a flight test engineer. Seven months later, Ann's husband was accepted into the United States Air Force and they moved again and again for the next 6 l/2 years while Pat was a USAF pilot. Ann was a supportive Air Force wife. Following the service, the year 1965 was a monumental time for the couple when Epps decided to start a fixed-base operation in Atlanta, Georgia. Now 36 years later, with over 150 employees, Epps Aviation is a success! This business venture would not have been successful without the partnership of wife, Ann.
Ann never did learn to fly (wasn't necessary with a flying husband and three children with pilot's licenses) but did complete ground school and knows the positives and negatives of the airplane business. Ann is Vice President of Epps Aviation. She has dedicated her time in various aspects of the business from typing memos to attending aviation luncheons and conventions. Probably Ann's most important contribution has been a "listening ear" to her husband and her opinion and advisement through the years. Ann has participated both as a spectator and vendor selling t-shirts at numerous local and national airshows while husband, Pat, flies his aerobatic Bonanza and/or was digging WWII airplanes out of the Greenland ice cap.
Ann is a partner who has helped make husband Pat's company and successes happen and enjoys the people and the benefits of the aviation lifestyle.
