Born Rose Anne Higdon, August 18, 1921, in Colman, Alabama, where she lived until 1940. Anne loved roses, but preferred “Anne” over “Rose” for her name. In 1940 she moved to Nashville, Tennessee to work for Vultee and later Consolidated Aircraft Company until after World War II.
After the war she married John T. Jenkins and in 1949 moved to Ft Worth, Texas where John continued to work for Consolidated and later General Dynamics.
Together they raised one son until his death in 1977. Anne was reunited with John on September 24, 1999. She will be missed.
