    Navy pilot with VP45, NAS Bermuda, 1956 - 1959 and VS 936, NAS Willow Grove, PA. 1959 -1962. Was a Plane Commander in Martin P5M and Grumman S2F antisubmarine patrol aircraft. Participated in the airborne search for Russian missiles coming into Cuba flying from NAS Key West, FL. in July 1962. Thereafter, flew and owned Cessna 172 and Cessna 182 aircraft.
    Upon retirement from E. I. DuPont Company in 1993, became a Certified Flight Instructor (#1546393), instructing and flying in single and multi-engine aircraft at Dawn Aero, Inc. in Wilmington, DE. and in Leadville, CO.
    Other aviation accomplishments included teaching an Aviation course in the After-The-Bell program for teenagers of the Kennett Square, PA middle school.
