She was the first female Flight Instructor in Nashville, TN. She began taking flying lessons in 1966 at the age of 40. She soon received her pilot's license and in 1970 became the first female flight instructor, guiding many would be pilots through the process of learning to fly. She was a director of Jamison Bedding Co. and very active in the Nashville community.
