    Mr. Norm White

Betty Child joined the space program in 1974 and sailed aboard the USNS Vanguard for 18 months before the budget forced the ship into wet berth. In 1982 Betty left the Rock and went to Goddard Space Flight Center and from there to jet propulsion labs in Pasadena, A. Duties during her time in the space program included telecommunications, shift supervisor and network controller. Betty retired in 1988.
