Betty Christianson flew as co-pilot and passenger with her husband Hiymar in private aircraft in most of the United States, in all five continents, British Isles, Australia, the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Atlantic and Pacific.
Her University of Illinois degrees in journalism and English led to writing in journals and teaching in several schools. She bore three daughters and two sons, and died in 1998.
