    Col. Bill Tsufis was born Nov. 2, 1927 Alexandria Bay, NY. He began his tour of duty on a mine sweeper near the end of WWII. At the end of his enlistment he entered St. Lawrence University, Cantoon, NY. His service in the military USAF began in 1950 attending flight training centers in Texas and Arizona. He flew 109 combat missions in Korea in a F-86, then he flew 200 Combat missions in Vietnam, which 89 were over ANorth Vietnam flying the RF4C. During the process of Bill’s term in the service hew was honored with the following medals; DFC with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Medals with twelve Oak Leaf Clusters and Air Force Commendation with two Oak Leaf Clusters. In conclusion Bill Retired on July 19th, 1975 and resided with his wife Marcia and their two sons Mark and Ross. He passed on Sept. 16, 1995.
