Bob was a test pilot starting with the Bell Aircobra. He crashed a P-39 in Alaska and spent time in a hospital, meeting his wife there. He was a test pilot for Douglas flying many planes at Edwards AFB. He did many private test pilot jobs. He flew for the FAA testing the Concorde. In his spare time he taught many pilot how to fly. He has been instrumental in developing the airport at Ennis, MT where he currently lives.
