USCG 1942-1946 overseas after commissioning. As a corpsman attached to the First marine division wounded. Released from service in 1946. Entered Medical School graduating in 1949. Commissioned in 1952 in the medical corps of USAF. Served overseas retired 1982. Awarded numerous medals and awards. After retirement became a professor of infectious diseases 7 head of department at Chicago Medical School.
