    Brigadier General Harold R. Johnson, USAF (Ret) is a distinguished American with extensive public and private sector experience in the field of Aviation and Military Command Control Systems. He is a US Air Force Command Pilot and also a Rated Bombardier, He entered the U.S. Army Air Corps as an Aviation Cadet in June 1942 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in July 1943. While engaged in combat operations in 1943 and 1944, General Johnson flew 29 Combat Missions over Germany as an air crew member assigned to the 8th Air Force, 91st Bomb Group. During this period. General Johnson was awarded the Air Medal with 3 Oakleaf Clusters and the Distinguished Flying Cross. Later, he was awarded the Legion of Merit, the Distinguished Service Medal and other decorations.
    During his career. General Johnson served President Lyndon B. Johnson from 1965 to 1968 as Assistant Director of Telecommunications Management. At the time of his retirement from the military, he was Commanding General of Air Force Communications in the Pacific, where he was responsible for 20,000 military personnel and all communications, air traffic control and radar activities for the Pacific theatre.
    In the private sector, General Johnson is a recognized telecommunications industry pioneer and business executive who has been instrumental in founding and financing many successful technology and telecommunications companies.
