LtCol Bruce A. Bleakley (b. 1945) served in the U.S. Air Force from 1967 to 1987 in assignments in North America, Europe and Southeast Asia. He accumulated over 5,000 hours of flight time in various types of aircraft ranging from supersonic jets to four-engine transports. In 1993 he was hired to establish the Education Department of the San Diego Aerospace Museum in San Diego, California, and subsequently became the Museum's fourth Executive Director in December 2001.
