Aviator, Aerospace engineer, and loving family man. Barney was a second generation pilot in his family. He was at home flying his 1946 Taylorcraft, his 1947 Stinson and his Cessna Aircraft. He also enjoyed flying the family owned 1953 Piper Tri Pacer and 1965 Piper Comanche. Barney was an instructor pilot and taught many others to fly. He was a pioneer in the development and testing of space vehicle support software from 1966 through 1998. He worked for Lockheed, Litton, Systems Development Corp. and Loral during his career. Barney was also a talented musician who played the mandolin, saxophone, and piano. Barney is survived by his wife Polly and his children Cathy and Bobby. His time here was much too brief.
