    Nellie Gibbs began her career at NASA's Flight Research Center (now the Armstrong Flight Research Center) in June of 1954 as a Clerk-Typist. She served in various capacities, and advanced to the position of Security Clerk. After exceptional service to the Agency for seven years, she retired in 1962. After serving in the US Army, Byron Gibbs joined NASA in 1956 as an Aircraft Mechanic. Later he transferred to the Rocket Shop as an Experimental Rocket Power Systems Mechanic. To finish out his career, Byron transferred to Life Support, where he was a Life Support and Egress Systems Equipment Specialist. He retired in 1993 after 37 years of service.
