    Captain Alberto Abed was born in Mexico City; he got public and private airline transport pilot license. With more than 50 years of experience, and more than 25,000 flight hours, he has worked in companies such as Grupo Industrial Majesa, Negromex, Intervuelo and Aerolineas Ejecutivas and Hermès Corporativo as pilot, he participated into the aviation business industry holding positions of Copilot, Captain, Chief Pilot, Maintenance Manager and Operations Manager, as well as General Director, Executive Chief Officer, and owner of aviation companies. These development opportunities trained him into the knowledge and operation of executive and commercial aviation in more than 80 makes and models of airplanes and helicopters as Cessna, Piper, Agusta, Eurocopter, Gulfstream, Falcon, Bombardier, Boeing and McDonnel.
    In 1988, together with other important national businessmen, TAESA, Transportes Aereos Ejecutivos was formed, intended to operate an integral air transport company for all the market needs being the first low-cost airline in Mexico, and giving the opportunity to 20 million passengers to fly for the first time in their lives. In 1993, the Abed family got total control of the company with Capt. Alberto Abed in the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO.?? TAESA covered 5 business divisions, employed more than 5,200 persons and served more than 42 destinations on Regular Commercial Aviation; TAESA also operated charters in 120 cities around 4 continents.
    He has received multiple awards, as the Silver Icarus; The European Excellence Prize in 1993; Executive Of The Year in 1993, rewards of the Professional Pilot Magazine in 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995 and 1996; etc.
    In August 1993, personally as Captain in Command, Cap. Abed flew the Boeing 757 transporting His Holiness John Paul II from Kingston, Jamaica to Merida Yucatan in Mexico.
    Today, he is President of Servicios Integrales de Aviacion, commercially known as FlyMex, which received a special recognition for 7,000 fulfilled missions flown in Africa and the Middle East in 2012, from the Humanitarian Programs of the United Nations in which he participated actively. FlyMex operated the first commercial aircraft equipped with antimissiles system for operations within Iraq and was commanded in its first mission by Cap. Abed. The new project is to form the first amphibian airline.
