Aviation Cadet – primary, basic, advanced flight training. Graduated September 8th, 1944. Commissioned with wings, assigned to 15th Air Force under General Twining – flew in the 463rd Bomb Group, 772nd Squadron. Shot down April 20th and taken P.O.W. until war’s end. Returned to U.S., took separation in October, 1945 to the Army Air Force Reserves. Remained active in Reserves until 1969; then took in active status.
