* “Charlie” was born in 1930 in Denver, Colorado.
* He served as a US Army aviator 1950 to 1969.
* He was a pilot for United Airlines for almost 39 years, retiring in 1995.
* One very satisfying accomplishment was building a Murphy Elite aircraft, completed in June of 2003.
* His success was applauded by his wife Vivian, sons Chris and Mark, and granddaughters Stephanie, Nicole, Valerie, and Alaina.
