Captain in the U.S. Air Force during WWII, stationed in Framlingham, England. Piloted C-17 with missions over Belgium, Germany and France. Later as mechanical engineer designed casing for the original IBM missile. Worked on booster rocket for Space Shuttle. Designed and constructed his own sailplane as a hobby.
