    Captain Clark R. Keller (1935-2021).

    Captain Keller had a long and distinguished career in the aviation industry. Upon graduation from Drake University in 1958, he completed US Air Force flight training with the 3539th pilot Training Squadron at Bryan Air Force Base, TX and became a fighter pilot. Upon completing flight training he became part of 132nd Iowa Air National Guard, 124th Fighter Squadron in Des Moines, IA, flying the Republic F-84 Thunderjet.

    Clark's career continued into the commercial aviation ranks where he worked for United Airlines as a DC-7 Second Officer. In 1962, after a brief furlough from United Airlines, he was employed by Eastern Airlines as a co-pilot on the Constellation and the DC-7. Progressing to the position of Captain in 1970, he later flew the DC-9, B-727, L-1011, and B-757, and was designated as an Instructor/Check airman on those aircraft. His 30 plus year career with Eastern would earn him numerous aircraft type ratings. In 1991, when Eastern terminated flight operations, Clark accepted a position with Rich International Airlines and flew as an L-1011 Captain on their global routes.

    After ending his commercial flying career in 2000. Clark continued sharing his love and knowledge for flying as the Flight Safety Director for Access Air, in Des Moines, IA. CAE Simu-Flite offered him a position at the DFW facility as an Instructor/Check Airman for corporate pilots on Citation business jets in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. After retiring from CAE, at the age of 78, he and his wife relocated to Port Orange, Florida.
