Born in Dublin, Georgia, October 26, 1924. From a very early age, I had a great interest in aviation building model airplanes and going to the airport whenever a barnstormer came to town.
In June 1944, I soloed in a Piper Cub and went on to get a Commercial Pilot’s License and an Instrument rating. Flew aircraft for 40 years.
