    Daniel Shea Hennessy, born September 14,1940, received his Naval Aviator Wings in May 1964. While stationed at Quonset Point, Rl, he flew the S-2F Tracker. After leaving active duty he continued to fly with the Naval Reserves until 1972. In November1967 he began his commercial flying career with United Airlines from which her retired as a 767 Captain in September 2000. During his career he also flew the DC-6, DC-10, 727,737, and 757. He also enjoyed flight instructing, piloting gliders and small aircraft. In 1992, Dan was proud to see his youngest son, Brian, become a Naval Aviator. Dan continued to share his enthusiasm for aviation with family and friends until his death on October 4, 2005.
