    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:
    Ms. Karen Harris

Darron has had a love for planes and flying his whole life. His dad was a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War and his granddad was a fighter pilot in the Air Force. Darron graduated from college with a degree in metallurgy and went to work for Cessna Aircraft, where he earned his private pilot’s license. He used his license to fly to aircraft museums in Kansas. Family trips usually include at least one plane museum. He loves aviation so much that his daughter’s middle name is Amelia, after the famous aviator.

Now he works for a company that produces fighter plane tail components. After his year of duty in Kuwait for Operation Iraqi Freedom is over, he will return to his aviation career.
