Dave completed his pilot training with the US Navy in Pensacola, FL. He was assigned to helicopter rescue flying off aircraft carriers. His naval duties included two tours of duty stationed off the coast of Vietnam during the war. Upon honorable discharge, he immediately was hired by United Airlines and completed basic flight officer training. He flew for United Airlines for the next 32 years and retired as Captain on the Boeing 747. Born March 11, 1939. Died August 11, 2004.
