David Hayes is of counsel to the law firm of Jackson & Wade, L.L.C. He currently serves as the Director of Legal Affairs of Trans States Airlines, Inc. with coast-to-coast operations where he oversees all aspects of the Airline's labor relations and FAA enforcement cases. He is also an active ATR-72 Captain.

Capt. Hayes is admitted to practice law in Illinois, Missouri, and the District of Columbia, and he advises clients on FAA enforcement matters, hazardous materials transportation matters, Pilot Records Improvement Act issues, and flight department operations.

Capt. Hayes is a member of the Southern Illinois University Aviation Management and Flight faculty, as well as the Central Missouri State University faculty, where he teaches Aviation Law and Air Transport Labor Relations.

Capt. Hayes is a graduate of the St. Louis University School of Law where he received a Certificate in Labor and Employment Law. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Missouri Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, University Aviation Association, the Lawyer- Pilots Bar Association. He currently serves as Vice-President Central Region of the NTSB Bar Association.
