    Captain Loranger has had a distinguished career in aviation for the past 61 years. Beginning in the early forties he learned to fly in a rag-wing Stearman as a US Naval Aviation Cadet. He successfully earned a 31-year career with the US Navy, ultimately flying over 60 aircraft types, from Stearmans to F-4 Phantoms.

    He fought in both the Korean and Vietnam conflicts being awarded a number of medals including the Distinguished Flying Cross. He logged over 500 carrier landings, commanded fleet operational attack squadrons, as well as a fleet test and evaluation squadron and has over 10,000 flying hours, mostly in tactical naval aircraft.

    For the past 30 years he has furthered aviation excellence by actively participating as a Certified Flight Instructor-Instrument and Federal Aviation Administration flight test examiner as well as an aircraft owner.
