    Born October 17,1933, in Uniontown, Pa. Attended Perm State University.

    Enlisted in the USAF basic training program, Jan. 1953. One year later entered Aviation Cadet Program, and graduated a second lieutenant, trans-Atlantic navigator Feb 1955, Class 55-01. After three and a half years, navigator, flight instructor, flight examiner on several MATS aircraft, entered Pilot Training In 1958, graduating in 1959, Class 59-H. Flew the F-86, F-102, and five years on the B-52, the last two as Aircraft Commander. Set a Strategic Air Command record for upgrading to Aircraft Commander on the B-52. Honorably Discharged on August 1st, 1964. Completed three and a half more years in the Pennsylvania and West Virginia Air National Guard, flying the F-102, and theC-121, ending my Air Force Career as a Major.

    Began my United Airlines career, August 24th, 1964 as a Flight Engineer, and retired, October 17th, 1993 as a B-747 Captain. Ratings include B-727, B-737, and B-747 aircraft. Special assignment to the CRAF Operation, Desert Shield, and Desert Storm, during the first Gulf War.
    Married Shirley Ann Hoch, on February 25*, 1961. We have three daughters, Tracey, Jamie, and Holly. They produced four grandchildren, Robbie, Skylar, Summer, and Peyton.
