Received Air Force ROTC Commission in 1953. Received Pilot Wings in 1954. Flew F-86D/L at Itazuke, Japan for three years. Left active duty in 1958. Joined Ohio Air National Guard in 1961, flew F-84-F. Took part in Berlin recall at Etain, France in 1961 and 1962. Joined California ANG in 1963. Flew F-86L, D-102 ando2. Was Squadron Commander of 196th FIS/TASS for eight years. Retired in 1978 as LtCol. Hired by United Airlines in 1966. Flew DC-8 as Flight Engineer and Co-Pilot in San Francisco and Los Angeles until 1986. Flew as captain until turning age 60 in 1990. Flew as DC-10 Flight Engineer until final retirement in 1995.
