    Honored by:
    Ms. Eleanor R. Kaiser

My husband, Ed Kaiser, flew for 21 years in the USMC Reserve and retired as Major in 1964. While flying in the Marine Corps Reserve, he joined United Airlines in 1955, becoming Captain in 1968 and retiring in 1985 after 30 and 1/2 years at the mandatory age of 60.
Ed was born in Morristown, New Jersey on December 17th. This date is significant because Orville and Wilber Wright had taken their first flight 22 years earlier. So in his own words, my husband said, "I was born to fly."
Ed passed away in February, 2000, just months after his 74th birthday and was interred with full honors in Arlington National Cemetery.

Wall of Honor profiles are provided by the honoree or the donor who added their name to the Wall of Honor. The Museum cannot validate all facts contained in the profiles.
