    Born in New South Wales, Australia in 1940. The son of farmers, he fell in love with flying whilst watching a crop spraying aircraft dust the family wheat property. From an early age he took up flying and eventually ended up flying for TALAIR in Papuki New Guinea. He joined the Australia Airlines in about 1971 as a DC-3 First Officer. He then went to Air Niugini with commands on F-27, 707, and A300 aircraft before venturing to S.I.A (Singapore Airlines) where he spent from about 1987 till his retirement in 2000 on B-747-200, -300, -400s as a Captain. Since his retirement he has flown local flights with his eldest son who is working to gain his commercial license and unable to stay away too long. He recently joined Air Pacific as a First Officer on 747-400. He currently has 30,700 hours.
