    Born in Geneva, Ohio in 1933, Graduated Geneva High School in 1952 and Kent State University in 1956
    with BS in BA. Enlisted (ROTC) in US Air Force and started pilot training in 1956, class of 58E, Primary T-
    34 and Basic T-28 at Bainbridge AFB Georgia, Continued basic T-33 at Laredo AFB, Texas. Transferred to
    Air Defense Radar School, Panama City, Florida. Finished Air Force tour as SAGE Intercept Director,
    Bangor Air Defense Sector, Brunswick, Maine. 1959.
    From 1959 to 1965 worked in real estate development, Geneva, Ohio. Hired by United Airlines in 1965
    and flew for United 28 years and retired as DC-10 Captain in 1993 with over 18,000 hours of flight time.
    Purchased a Cessna Cardinal, 177-B in 1994 and flew for 12 years accumulating another 1,100 hours,
    some for the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, Fort Myers, Florida.
    Family: Married high school sweetheart, Janice, during our senior year in college. We have three
    children and five grandchildren. This year 2014, will be our 59th anniversary. We reside in Cape Coral,
    Florida and spend summers in Elgin, Illinois.
    Aircraft I have flown: T-34, T-28, T-33, C-45, Cessna; 150, 172, 185, 177-B, 195, 210, Piper; Cub, Tripacer,
    Colt, Warrior, Navajo, Seneca, Cherokee-6, DC-6, DC-7, B-737, B-727, DC-8, and DC-10.
    Would like to thank all the flight instructors, mechanics, air traffic controllers and aviation personnel
    that kept, and still keep us safe while defying gravity!
