Soloed in Piper Feb. 7, 1964, McFillen Airpark, Lake Charles, LA. Earned Commercial Instructors and Instrument ratings in 1965. Began flying for United Airlines in April, 1966 as a Flight Engineer on DC-6, &7, retired as Captain on B-747-400 in May 2003. Total Flight Time was 21,200 hours. Crew member positions were: Flight Engineer-DC6 &7 and B727; Co-pilot DC6 &7 and B-727; Captain B-737, B-757, B-767, B-777, B-747-400. Became a docent for NASM January 2004.
