Entered the Army in 1940. Married July 25, 1972. Graduated Officer Candidate School 1942, 2nd Lt.
Joined 513 the Parachute Regiment. Joined 17th Airborne Division 1944. Commanded two Displaced Persons camps in Germany and assigned to General Courts Martial. Graduated college 11948. Recalled for Korea in 1950. Company B, 38th Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. Attacked and overrun by Chinese 17 May 1951. Captured 19May 1951. Released from POW Camp 4 September 1953, oldest daughter birthday. Discharged with the rank of Captain.
Retired Southern California Gas Company 1975. Married 60 years next July. Wife Marian. Three Daughters; Carol 1946, Anita 1955, Lynne 1963.
