    Captain Henry Wesley ("Hank") Eaton, Fourteenth Air Force "Flying Tigers" in China. From Needham MA, Hank was drafted in 1942 and served until 1946. He was initially assigned to the Signal Corps at Fort Monmouth NJ; then was selected for OCS; then was assigned to the Army Air Force. He flew to Karachi, India and on over Burma to Kunming, China. He also served in Jianxi and Sian. Hank was the intelligence officer for the 491st bomber squadron - briefing P-40 crews on targets. After bombing runs he debriefed air crews and assessed results, reports which are now in the National Archives.
