    I was a member of the US Army Air Corps and, later, the Air Force from June 1942 until retirement, Oct, 1966. I was on active duty until September 1945, and was on inactive reserve until retirement. The aircraft flown were; PT19, BT13, ATI7, AT6, AT11, &AT18. I was then combat training to go overseas in the Martin Marauder B26. While in the distribution center, the war ended and I was released from active duty September 30, 1945.

    1 went to college and our daughter, Susan, was born in September 1946. Our son Clayton was born in December 1955.

    In 1949 I went to work for the City of Seattle Engineering Department. I then went to work for United Air Lines in Aprril 1952. The airline job was a dream come true. In United's service I flew the DC3, DC4, DC6, DC7, DC8, DC10, Convair 340 and the Boeing 727. 1 retired from United, at age 60 in Apr, 1982.

    I've owned Cessnas 150, 172, 182, 206, 310, and Aeronca Chief.
