Honored by:
USAF pilot, 1959-1964, after graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering.
Continued a career in aviation flying with United Airlines for 32 years, retiring in 1997. Helped launch the Boeing 737 from a 3-man crew to a 2-man crew. Career spanned 25,000 hours of flying with no major incidents.
