    Born Dec 8, 1930 at Broken Arrow, OK. Entered US Navy Feb 2, 1951. Recruit training at San Diego, CA, then Memphis, TN.

    Pre-flight and primary training at Pensacola and advanced training at Corpus Christi, TX. Received wings and commission at Pensacola Feb 4, 1953. Served with VC-4 night fighters at Atlantic City and had a 7-month cruise on carrier CVS Antietam.

    Discharged Aug 15, 1955 and entered United Airlines Sep 26, 1955. Based in Seattle as DC-6/7 Flight Examiner then Boeing 720 Second Officer. Transferred to Los Angeles as a First Officer in Sep 1963. Became B-737 Captain Dec 15, 1968. Became B-727 Captain Oct 1969 until 1982. A B-767 Captain until May 1985, when became a DC-10 Captain. About November 1987 became a B-747 Captain. The last 13 months of my career I was B-747-400 Captain. Last flight was a return from Hong Kong on Dec 7, 1990.
