Soloed in 1961 in a J-3 Cub. Joined United Airlines in 1963. Flew Second Officer on DC-6 and 7 and Boeing 727. Flew First Officer on DC-6, Boeing 727 and 720 and Douglas DC-10. Flew Captain on Boeing 737 and 757-767. Was an original member of United’s Command, Leadership, Resource Management Development program and chaired the Human Factors Committee until retirement. Served as Boeing 737 Flight Manager 1986-88 and Chief Pilot – Seattle 1988-1999. Proud member of ALPA 1963-1999. It was a great ride!
