    Born in Beatrice, Nebraska in 1942. Learned to fly at the Hickam Aero Club, Hawaii 1964 in Cessnas and C-45 Beechcraft. Employed by United Airlines in 1966. Based at Washington, DC National Airport (DCA) flew DC-6 and Viscounts. Retired April 2002. Career with UAL included Flight Engineer positions on DC-6, DC-7 and DC-8 aircraft. First Officer positions on Viscount, Boeing 727, 737 and Douglas DC-10 aircraft. From 1986 through 202, flew as Captain on 737, 767, and 747-400 Boeing aircraft.
