JohnGlen’s interest in aviation started when he was a boy and his Grandfather would take him to the local airport. In college he studies aviation and upon graduation worked for McDonald Douglas. After many flight hours achieved by flight instructing others, JohnGlen was hired by Simmons Airlines (American Eagle) and eventually became a United Airlines pilot where he now flies as a Captain.
Flying for work was never enough for this avid aviator. So, JohnGlen joined the Commemorative Air Force where he helps restore and fly WWII aircraft like the B-29, B-24, l-5, and BT-13 to name a few. The air shows that he doesn’t help organize, he flies in or just attends as an interested spectator. He has also flown formation in a Vale that’s painted like a Japanese Zero, and done simulated aerial attacks on ships for awestruck on-lookers.
Talking about aircraft and flying makes JohnGlen’s face light up. Aviation is truly a love that continues to grow with each passing year.
