    Joe was born on April 9. 1963 in Jersey City, New Jersey. His parents moved him as a child to Toms River, New Jersey where he grow up. He graduated in 1981 from High School North, in Toms River, and started to work at various odd-jobs. One clay, a friend took him for a ride in his airpla Evei after that, Joe was hooked He became determined to get his pilots license. Ever penny he earned went into flying lessons, finally, Joe realized his dream when be qualified as an aviator. Later, he went on to study through Emory-Riddle University where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in science. While in college, he earned his instrument, seaplane, and multi-engine ratings. Joe was a flight instructor as well as a commercial pilot and had many hours of experience flying around the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean,
    Joe logged many hours dying a small open cockpit airplane with a radio traffic newscaster on board After, this, he served as a first officer on an Ernbraer twin-engine flying cargo. Later, he became pilot-m-command for a civilian commuter airline. Flying a twin-engined Piper Navaho Chieftain, "Captain doe" sadly lost his life in a mid-air collision over Burlington, New Jersey on August 9, 2000.
    Joe was a true gentleman in every way, He always had a kind word to say, a funny story to tell, or a smile and some laughter to share, In his own quiet way, Joe was very religious. It was his strong belief In God that seemed to give him purpose, hope, and the knowledge that aviation was his calling. His love of flight knew no bounds. He could talk of airplanes and hangar stories for hours. His fondest hope was to someday be a major airline pilot, and if he had lived on, he would have been a very good one. "Captain Joe" is dearly missed by his family and many friends, Joe once wondered if there were airplanes in heaven. If there are, he surely is flying one of them right now.
