    Honored by:
    Mr. Julius Lepkowsky

I started flying in high school by working for flying lessons at Universal Flyers at Hawthorne Municipal Airport in Los Angeles. After entering UCLA, I joined the Air force R.O.T. C/.and took a commission upon graduation. I won my wings in 1957 in class 57-O. As the aircraft I was flying kept degrading and after a stint as a radar operator, I left the USAF and joined United Airlines. There I flew the DC-6, 727, DC-8, DC-10 and 747. After 29 great years of flying I retired in 1995 with 25,000 hours of flying time.
