    Capt. Danielsen was born May 25, 1921. He learned to fly out of a cow pasture in a TravelAir at the age of 15. He was an Army Air Corps flight instructor at the age of 18. In 1941, he was hired by TWA at the age of 20. By the age of 23, he made captain on a DC-3. He also flew co-pilot for Howard Hughes on TWA Constellations. He became TWA’s chief pilot in 1959, taking delivery of TWA’s first Boeing 707. He taught Al White to fly the 707 and in turn was put in the B-70 program as a test pilot. He was killed in a car accident in 1971.
