Before the advent of missiles (1958), our mission while flying FJ-4B's in VA-151 was to deliver atomic bombs using carrier based planes.
Upon retirement as Commanding officer of RTU-85 (1969-1972), my squadron presented me with a plaque that included the engraving "200 years of tradition, modified by 3 years of progress"
