Completed nearly 100 combat missions in WW2, flying P-40’s and P-47’s in North Africa and Italian Campaigns. Won the Distinguished Flying Cross and many other medals for actions in combat. Later became a flight instructor, training cadets on proper combat techniques. During the Korean Conflict, he was the Commandant of Cadets for the ROTC program at Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY. He is an active member in the P-47 Thunderbolt Pilots Association and still keeps in touch with many of his comrades today. He is truly a war hero, and a definite roll model to his children and grandchildren.
