Started flying at 14 years old in Piper J-3s and Cessna aircraft. Flew single engine charters. First transport aircraft was Douglas DC-3, as co-pilot/mechanic. Hired by United Airlines in November 1963. Retired in December 2001.
Remained active in general aviation and part of 135 charter/air ambulance operations thereafter. Interests have always been in commercial and general aviation, including seaplanes and sailplanes.
