    Michael Kardos began his airline career in 1940 with Pennsylvania Central Airlines. His first assignment was co-pilot on the Boeing 247. In the late 1940’s, PCA became Capital Airlines. At Capital, he was the Central Division Chief Pilot.
    In 1961, when Capital and United Airlines merged, he was selected to be the Flight Operations Manager at the Pittsburg Domicile. Michael Kardos retired in 1971 as the DC-8 Flight Manager at Washington, DC.
