    Enlisted in USA, 1939. Volunteered for USAAC, 1942. Flew various aircraft stateside, including AT-9 bad P-39. Flew 65 missions in Martin B-26 Marauder with the Ninth Air Force out of Great Dunmough, England. Shot down by flak behind enemy lines near Cleres France in June, 1944. Wounded, rescued by French underground, liberated by Canadian forces. After retirement, continued flying until 1998. Held private, multi-engine, commercial and instructor’s ratings. Owned several Beech Bonanzas and other aircraft. Built and flew a Dragonfly. Health now precludes flying.
