    Honored by:

I started out in Sacramento, California in 1943 in an aviation school to be an aviation mechanic taking aircraft engines and sheet metal courses.
From there I went to Sacramento Air Depot in the engine test cell testing aircraft engines. From there I went to United Airlines in January 1944 as an aircraft mechanic and inspector.
Then I went on to be a Flight Engineer in 1951 then on to First Officer and later to Captain. I flew D/C 6s, 7s, 8s, and 10s and Boeing 737-727-747s.
I retired after 41 years with United Airlines in 1985.
