    Honored by:

    USAF Pilot Training Class 60-B (1958). Primary base at Bainbridge, GA. Flight Training in T-34 and T-37. Basic Base at Selma, AL Flight Training in T-33 (Received wings there in 1960). Went to All Weather Interceptor training for the air Defense command in Valdosta, GA and training in the F-86L (joined the ?“"Mach Busters Club"?” there in that aircraft). On completion no ADC assignments were available so took B-47 assignment in Strategic Air Command. After training at Wichita, KS was assigned to the 660th Squadron of the 40th Bomb Wing at Forbes AFB in Topeka, KS. After three years in SAC my five-year commitment was fulfilled.

    Entered United Airlines Second Officer training in Oct. 1963. After graduation was sent to Chicago O?’'Hare domicile. Flew Second Officer on B-720, DC-8 and DC-10. Flew First Officer on B-720, DC-8 and DC-10. Flew Captain on 727 and DC-10. Took mandatory age 60 retirement on the DC-10 after 33 years of service with United in 1996.

    Left the Air Force with the rank of Captain and left the United Airlines with the rank of Captain. Feel blessed to have had this profile, my wife Jonna, my daughter Tasha and my son Colton and good health to boot.
