Graduated from University of Washington in 1951 (NROTC Scholarship) and commissioned in U S Navy the same day. Received Navy wings august 1953. Flew patrol planes on active and reserve duty. Last ten years in Naval Reserve Transport Squadron. Joined United Airlines in August 1955. Retired from United in September 1987 as a DC-10 Captain based in Seattle, WA.
