    Mr. Paul R. Smith

Richard Donald Smith of San Francisco, California, has spent most of his life flying. Dick's life in the air began as a flight cadet at Pensacola Naval Air Station, Florida. After excelling in every aspect of training he was transferred to a combat assignment flying F4U Corsairs in the Korean War. Flying as a member of VFA-192, the Screaming Dragons, from the carrier Princeton, he performed his duty to the nation admirably, receiving accommodation. After the war Dick began a piloting career with United Airlines that spanned four decades. As Captain of every type of aircraft in the United fleet, Dick safely delivered sports teams, celebrities, business men and families along with tons of freight across North America. Balancing a successful aviation career with a love for his family, Dick is a true aviation success story.
